I Won’t Support Otti in 2027, I’ll Work for My Party – Sen. Uzor Kalu

Senator Uzor Kalu has declared that he will not support former Governor Otti in the 2027 elections, affirming his loyalty to his political party. Speaking during a recent interview, Kalu emphasized that his political alignment and commitments will guide his actions in the forthcoming electoral season.

He stressed the importance of party loyalty and the need to prioritize collective goals over individual ambitions. According to Kalu, his decision reflects his belief in strengthening party structures and ensuring that party policies and strategies remain central to political engagement in Enugu State and beyond.

Kalu stated explicitly, “I will not support Otti in 2027. My commitment is to my party, and I will work to ensure our collective agenda succeeds. Party loyalty is crucial, and I intend to uphold it fully in the coming elections.”

The senator also underscored his involvement in mobilizing grassroots support and engaging party members to ensure cohesion ahead of the general elections. He believes that internal unity is key to sustaining political influence and achieving desired electoral outcomes.

Political commentators suggest that Kalu’s announcement is significant, as it clarifies his position amid speculations about alliances and shifting loyalties in the state. His statement is expected to influence campaign strategies, particularly regarding intra-party coordination and voter mobilization.

Kalu’s firm stance reinforces his image as a party loyalist and signals his intention to play an active role in shaping the party’s strategy for the 2027 elections. Constituents and political observers are now keenly watching how this position will affect dynamics within Enugu politics and potential electoral alignments.
