The Federation Account Allocation Committee says it shared a total of N1.894 trillion from February revenue among the Federal Government, the 36 states of the federation and the 774 local government councils.

The revenue distribution followed a meeting of the FAAC held in Abuja in March 2026.

The committee is responsible for allocating Nigeria’s Federation Account revenue to each tier of government according to the constitutional revenue‑sharing formula.

The total distributable revenue for February comprised statutory revenue and Value Added Tax collections.

The Federal Government received N675.088 billion from the shared N1.894 trillion.
The 36 state governments collectively received N651.525 billion for the month.
The 774 local government councils were allocated N456.467 billion.

The distributable revenue included N1.274 trillion from statutory revenue and N619.119 billion from VAT.

In addition, a sum of N77.302 billion was deducted for cost of revenue collection, while transfers, refunds and savings amounted to N259.078 billion from the total gross revenue available for the month.

The FAAC communiqué did not provide separate figures for derivation revenue within the published report.
