Zenith Pensions Custodian Foundation Provides Support to 400 Widows

The Zenith Pensions Custodian Foundation (ZPCF) has extended support to 400 widows across Nigeria as part of its ongoing social responsibility initiatives aimed at empowering vulnerable communities. The program, which provides financial assistance, skills training, and capacity-building opportunities, underscores the foundation’s commitment to improving livelihoods and fostering economic inclusion.

The announcement was made on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, during a formal event attended by beneficiaries, community leaders, and Zenith Pensions executives. The foundation emphasized that the initiative seeks to provide sustainable support, enabling widows to gain financial independence and develop income-generating skills.

Mrs. Amina Bello, Director of ZPCF, said, “Our mission is to empower vulnerable women, especially widows, by providing them with the tools and resources needed to improve their quality of life. This program ensures that they are not left behind and can actively contribute to their families and communities.”

The initiative includes financial grants for small businesses, vocational training in trades such as tailoring, catering, and crafts, as well as mentorship programs designed to build entrepreneurial capacity. The foundation also provides access to microfinance opportunities, helping beneficiaries grow and sustain their ventures over time.

Community leaders praised the foundation’s efforts, highlighting the importance of targeted programs that directly address the economic challenges faced by widows. Chief Olufemi Adeyemi, a local leader in Lagos, remarked, “Such initiatives are critical for empowering women who have lost their primary breadwinners. By equipping them with skills and resources, the foundation is fostering resilience and hope in our communities.”

The support program aligns with broader efforts by corporate organizations and foundations in Nigeria to address socio-economic disparities and promote inclusive development. Analysts note that initiatives like ZPCF’s not only provide immediate relief but also contribute to long-term economic empowerment and community stability.

With ongoing commitments to social responsibility, Zenith Pensions Custodian Foundation continues to serve as a model for corporate engagement in vulnerable populations, demonstrating how strategic support can create meaningful impact in the lives of citizens across Nigeria.
