Makinde, Kwankwaso Hold Closed-Door Meeting in Ibadan

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde held a closed-door meeting with Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, the Punch has reported.

The meeting took place at the Oyo State Government Secretariat on Wednesday. A brief video shared by Oyo Affairs showed Makinde arriving at the venue and greeting Kwankwaso and others before entering the meeting room.

This private engagement between the two political figures occurred amid broader political activities involving both men in recent weeks.

According to the Punch report, Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State and national leader of the NNPP, was present at the meeting with Makinde, but no official information was released on the agenda or subject of their discussions.

The brief video footage confirmed both leaders were at the Governor’s Office before the meeting began. Makinde and Kwankwaso exchanged greetings as they arrived at the venue.

As of the time of reporting, no statement had been issued by either the Oyo State Government or the NNPP detailing the content or outcome of the closed-door meeting.
