Lagos Opens Registration for 2026 Model College Screening Test

The Lagos State government has commenced registration for the 2026 screening test for admission into its model colleges, the state’s Ministry of Education announced on Wednesday.

The model colleges in Lagos State serve as government-owned secondary schools offering education to students who successfully pass the annual screening examination.

The registration opening follows release of guidelines and schedules by the Lagos State Ministry of Education.

According to the ministry’s statement, parents and guardians can register eligible candidates online via the designated portal.

The screening test is for pupils seeking admission into junior secondary school classes in the state’s model colleges for the 2026 academic session.

The statement said the portal will remain open for a specified period, with details on deadlines and the screening examination date provided on the registration platform.

Candidates will be required to meet age and educational eligibility criteria as outlined by the ministry.

Parents and guardians were advised to complete registration accurately and ensure that all required details are submitted before the deadline.

The ministry emphasised that incomplete or faulty applications may not be accepted for the screening test.

The screening test is part of the admission process for Lagos State model colleges, which admit pupils into junior secondary classes based on performance in the examination and compliance with registration requirements.
