INEC Urges Discipline, Compliance Ahead of Ekiti, Osun Polls

The Independent National Electoral Commission has called for discipline among political parties, candidates and stakeholders ahead of the governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states.

The commission made the call as preparations continue for the upcoming elections in both states, with political activities increasing across party lines.

INEC emphasised the need for all participants in the electoral process to adhere to established rules and guidelines to ensure orderly conduct of the polls.

INEC urged political parties and their supporters to conduct campaigns peacefully and avoid actions that could disrupt the electoral process.

The commission also stressed the importance of compliance with electoral laws and regulations guiding campaigns and voting procedures.

It called on security agencies and other stakeholders to support efforts aimed at ensuring credible and peaceful elections.

INEC further advised voters to remain law-abiding and participate in the process in accordance with the law.

The call highlights INEC’s emphasis on maintaining order and adherence to electoral guidelines as preparations for the Ekiti and Osun governorship elections continue.
