All Zones Unite Behind Tinubu as APC Congresses Strengthen 2027 Push

All 6 geopolitical zones rally behind Tinubu as APC holds congresses across Nigeria, re‑electing zonal leaders and adopting President Bola Tinubu as the sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

The ruling All Progressives Congress held zonal congresses in all six geopolitical zones, a development that party leaders say shows unity and a shared commitment to the 2027 electoral agenda.

In each zone, delegates and party stakeholders gathered to re‑elect zonal chairmen and other executives. The congresses took place largely without reported disruptions.

In Lafia, Nasarawa State, stakeholders from the North‑Central zone formally adopted President Tinubu as their sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, led the gathering. Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State seconded the adoption. Akume described the zone as a crucial political bloc with significant electoral influence.

Sule linked state development to federal reforms, saying ongoing reforms are enabling states to pursue projects without resorting to borrowing.

All 6 geopolitical zones rally behind Tinubu continued in the South‑West, where delegates in Lagos re‑elected Dr. Isaacs Kekemeke as zonal chairman by consensus.

More than 3,000 delegates were reported to have attended the South‑West congress at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, where other zonal executives were endorsed.

In the South‑East, party stakeholders reconfirmed leadership and pledged support for APC’s broader agenda.

One report said party leaders including Peter Mbah of Enugu State lauded the unity and participation of members at the zonal event.

Similarly, in the South‑South, leaders including Giadom led delegates in exercises that reaffirmed their backing for the party and President Tinubu.

Ministers and governors from the zone spoke positively about the conduct of the congress and its outcomes.

All 6 geopolitical zones rally behind Tinubu at the zonal events, with party stakeholders reiterating their commitment to party unity and organisational stability.

In addition to re‑electing zonal executives, congresses served as platforms to articulate local priorities and align them with the APC’s national electoral timetable.

No major incidents of violence or disruption were reported at the zonal congresses, and party officials said the events concluded peacefully.

All 6 geopolitical zones rally behind Tinubu highlights the APC’s efforts to strengthen internal cohesion as it prepares for the 2027 general elections.

Party leaders said the zonal congresses will feed into national planning, candidate selection and mobilisation ahead of the electoral cycle.
