ADC Vows Mass Mobilisation Over Electoral Act Ahead of 2027 Elections

The African Democratic Congress has said it will embark on mass mobilisation of party members and youths to promote adherence to the provisions of the Electoral Act ahead of the 2027 general elections, the party’s national leadership said.

The statement by the party came as political parties and stakeholders prepare for the 2027 general elections.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) emphasised the importance of ensuring that the Electoral Act, which governs conduct of elections in Nigeria, is fully implemented.

The National Chairman of the ADC, Dr Ralphs Uwazuruike, said the party will mobilise its members across states and local government areas to sensitise them on the need to support full implementation of the Electoral Act during the 2027 polls.

Uwazuruike said the party aims to engage youths and grassroots supporters in discussions on electoral reforms and the operationalisation of the law, as part of efforts to deepen democratic participation.

The ADC statement said the mobilisation will involve meetings, awareness campaigns, and interactions with community leaders and civic groups to promote understanding of the Electoral Act provisions.

The party said it seeks to ensure that the law’s guidelines on voter registration, transparent voting processes, and election monitoring are widely understood by citizens.

The initiative comes as Nigerian political parties position themselves ahead of the general elections scheduled for 2027.

The ADC said that compliance with the Electoral Act by all stakeholders will be critical for credible electoral outcomes.
