Governor Abdullahi Sule has nominated eight individuals for appointment as commissioners in Nasarawa State, a move aimed at strengthening his administration and improving service delivery across the state.

The announcement was made during Wednesday’s plenary session of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly in Lafia, where the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, read the governor’s correspondence to lawmakers.

According to the letter, the nominees for the Nasarawa commissioners positions are: Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo – Wamba Local Government Area, Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed – Lafia Local Government Area, Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu – Keffi Local Government Area, Hon. Mohammed Iyimoga – Obi Local Government Area, Adamu Rabecca Kpadji – Wamba Local Government Area, Nawani Aboki – Doma Local Government Area, Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim, FCNA – Nasarawa Local Government Area, Ashefo Daniel Paul, PhD – Lafia Local Government Area

Following the announcement, Speaker Jatau directed the Clerk of the House to notify the nominees and request that each submit 30 copies of their curriculum vitae in preparation for the confirmation exercise. The House of Assembly has scheduled the screening of the commissioner-designates for Friday, August 7, 2026.

The appointments will only take effect after the nominees successfully pass the screening process and receive confirmation from the Nasarawa State House of Assembly. The latest nominations form part of Governor Sule’s efforts to reinforce his cabinet and enhance governance through improved administrative capacity and public service delivery across Nasarawa State.
