Dangote Cement Raises Dividend to N45 Per Share After Strong 2025 Results

Dangote Cement Plc has approved a record dividend payout of N45 per share for the 2025 financial year, representing a 50 percent increase from the previous N30 per share and reinforcing its commitment to rewarding investors. The Dangote Cement dividend increase translates to a total distribution of approximately N753.8 billion, making it the largest dividend payout in the company’s history. Shareholders approved the payment during the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The company attributed the higher dividend to its impressive financial results in 2025, which reflected resilient operations despite prevailing macroeconomic pressures. Dangote Cement reported earnings per share of N59.86, highlighting strong profitability, effective cost management and solid cash generation across its operations. The Dangote Cement dividend increase also reflects the company’s continued focus on delivering long-term value to shareholders while maintaining financial discipline.

Chairman of Dangote Cement, Mr. Emmanuel Ikazoboh, said the enhanced dividend demonstrates the company’s confidence in its business strategy and appreciation for shareholder support.

“Our commitment remains to create sustainable value for all stakeholders. This significant increase in dividend demonstrates the strength of our business model, our disciplined approach to capital allocation, and our confidence in the future.” He added that the company remains grateful for the confidence investors have shown over the years and will continue pursuing high standards of corporate governance and operational excellence.

Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Arvind Pathak, said the decision was supported by the company’s strong earnings capacity and healthy financial position. According to him, the Dangote Cement dividend increase demonstrates the company’s ability to generate sustainable cash flows while executing its long-term expansion strategy across Africa.

“The decision to increase our dividend by 50 per cent to N45 per share demonstrates the strength of Dangote Cement’s earnings capacity and cash generation capability. As we continue to execute our pan-African growth strategy, we remain committed to creating lasting value for our shareholders, investing in the future of the business, and supporting Africa’s industrial development.”

He added that the company remains focused on rewarding shareholders while investing in future business growth and strengthening Africa’s industrial development.

The record dividend reinforces Dangote Cement’s position among the Nigerian Exchange’s leading dividend-paying companies. The company said it will continue balancing shareholder returns with strategic investments aimed at sustaining long-term growth across its pan-African operations. The Dangote Cement dividend increase underscores management’s confidence in the company’s financial outlook and its commitment to creating lasting value for investors.
