APC Stakeholders Adopt TRN for Broad Support Ahead of 2027 Election

Some stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress have adopted The Renewed Hope Network (TRN) as a Special Purpose Vehicle to mobilise wide‑ranging support for the re‑election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

The decision was taken at a strategic meeting of party leaders representing more than 1,500 registered support groups within the APC. The meeting involved organisers and technical teams of the TRN.

The Renewed Hope Network is linked to Senator Abdulaziz Yari, a former governor of Zamfara State and senator representing Zamfara West, who serves as a key figure within the network.

Deputy Director General of the APC Support Groups Council, Dr. Ak Peters, told Vanguard that the TRN is intended as a primary platform for grassroots mobilisation ahead of the January 16, 2027 presidential election.

The network has commenced mobilisation of polling unit canvassers across all polling units in Nigeria to prepare for engagement at the grassroots level.

Peters said the level of acceptance of the TRN among APC stakeholders was significant and that the Support Groups Council could not be excluded from the process.

According to the statement, the APC has more than 3,500 registered support groups nationwide, and about 1,500 of them have agreed to partner formally with the TRN.

The remaining support groups are expected to join the network between the time of the report and the Easter period.

Peters said no effort will be spared in mobilising support to enable President Tinubu to secure a second term in office on May 29, 2027, with the involvement of Senator Yari.
